Update:Customer service with UVII is exceptional. Although I am disappointed with my original experience and purchase because of shipping damage that likely warped the metal support brackets and caused a super frustrating assembly situation, I am certainly impressed with this company.UVII emailed me several times to help solve the issue with my original purchase.The representative also explained the company will be adding more specific customer directions regarding completing all assembly steps correctly the 1st time, offered to send a new replacement unit right away/with the same warranty, and shared they wanted to make my purchase experience work out well for me in general.Because I'm no longer interested in using manufactured wood in a main living area and declined a replacement unit, UVII has agreed to refund my full purchase cost. We've been redoing our livingroom and downsizing furniture, so I hoped this unit would double as shelving and a slim side table beside our fireplace. I know you get what you pay for, but I recently purchased a faux wood and metal unit by Sauder and it was decently made/sturdy/attractive.I took a chance after reading reviews from multiple listings on this unit/type. The box arrived split open at the seams from shipping, so I could not return it in the same box..drop off shipping doesn't allow refusal of items left with no signature, but the pieces appeared okay except for a few scratches on the mdf 'wood.' Upon opening, I was disappointed at the faux wood. It looked cheap and like something you would put in your closet for organizing.The directions were unclear with only pictures used for descriptions as far as which side to turn the drawer pieces. The wood dowels and metal inserts were hard to line up-the metal inserts would move out of line- and had to be repeatedly readjusted to build the drawers- building the drawer frames and adding 1 shelf took 1.5 hrs. On the 2nd shelf, we realized the metal supports were warped and splayed out away from the shelves... When trying to add the second shelf, it split as a screw was manually installed (a drill wasn't used at any point) due to pressure from trying to align the warped metal supports.. That ended our assembly... My husband knows how to assemble this type furniture and most of our actual home renovating is done without a contractor. He was very surprised that I bought a shelf of such poor quality. I can't return the unit, as the box is beyond use, so I've wasted an embarrassing amount of money and time with nothing to show for it. I do not recommend this shelf, even for closet organization. My husband never talks about reviews but told me to give an honest review "so people won't buy this crap and expect something decent."Like that so muchLadder is just dope. Basically assembled it and then just leaned it and just added gaming decor to give my Gameroom some height effect and make this look awesome ???Bought this for my spray tan studio to display retail and my clients compliment it ever time. Easy installation, and very sturdyKinda want a second but it is up and sturdy so far.Great sturdy shelf. I assembled it and attached it to the wall by myself so needless to say its a one man job. The top right piece is not perfectly straight however so it looks a bit bowed. I tried to mask it with a tall vase. Hoping the seller can send a replacement for that defective piece. My teen boys commented that it looks expensive. Great price!I didn’t keep this ladder shelf because it wasn’t the right fit for the wall in our office.However, for the price it looked really nice and the plan was to stack two or three next to each other. The return process was very, very easy and shipped back FREE. I’ll keep this company in mind for future purchasesSuper impressed. Came with directions. Had it together in 30 minutes. I did have to find studs to put it into the wall but was up in no time. Super sturdy. I have 6’3 ceilings so this photo may make the bookshelf look taller than what it is. Really beautiful in the space. Customer service was awesome. Shipping in Canada was really slow and they answered right away when emailed!Was looking for a decent shelf for this little nook in our livingroom. It takes 2 people to put this shelf together, and a little finesse. BUT, its sturdy, good quality for the price, and looks perfect for what we needed it for. I'd buy it again.Many of the pieces that face out come with damage. Once built it has chips all over. It's absolute crap. There are missing screws. You have to buy screws to finish. The screws and hardware are all mislabeled. This is a joke of a product. Dont buy this crap!I love the shelf, better than expected. Took about two hours to assemble, good instructions provided
