I will be buying more in different sizes, I'm a fan!I bought this product for corner braces on a saggy interior gate that prevents toddlers and pets from falling down a spiral staircase from a second-story landing. Because the gate was sagging, you had to lift up on the gate to engage the latch.By lifting the saggy gate one-half inch ABOVE the latch and then installing these brackets in the corners, the gate is now perfectly square like it was when new, and hits the latch perfectly.While these are similar in construction to the cheapo shelf brackets that you can find in the big box store, they don't have a cheap appearance, and also look much nicer than utilitarian-looking steel corner braces that you find in the big box stores, and less expensive, too.I'm as happy as can be with this application for this product.These were perfect for what we needed. They are the right size and well made. Very light weight but look like they are cast.I bought these because my wall is slightly bowed and I couldnt hang a floating shelf against it. These are definitely NOT iron, not a big deal for function but the description is a flat out lie.The screws used to hold the bracket to the wall will not be be fully secured because the the top cut out holes will not be flat on the wall due to the design. That being said, there is no way I'd put more than 10 pounds on each pair of brackets.This product does not have instructions but if you know how to drill and set anchors you'll be just fine.I like the look, the matte black is nice. It was easy to install and I think for $10 it was decent value.I would not buy these again but I will not return them either.
